13YARN is the first national crisis support line specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It is operated by Lifeline in partnership with Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Australia and staffed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander crisis supporters. Available 24/7. Free, confidential, and culturally safe.
When to use
Any moment of distress. Concerned about someone close to you.
When not to use
Pure financial counselling — SBDH or NDH.
Who they help
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in distress and their families.
Who they don't help
Not a financial or business adviser. After the immediate crisis, route to SBDH or NewAccess.
