Our impact

We believe in radical transparency. Here's what TEKVA has achieved, what it costs, and what we're learning about early-intervention infrastructure for the AI transition.

Outcomes

What we measure

Crisis stabilisation

Emergency relief that helps prevent eviction, utility disconnection, and food insecurity — with urgent cases we aim to triage within 72 hours.

Capability support

AI literacy training, earning readiness, and introductions to partner organisations. Practical upskilling that helps people rebuild confidence and capability.

Financial navigation

A clear picture of the whole situation, specialist referrals, and practical tools that help people see what's happening and find the right path forward.

Community strength

Some people stay connected as mentors or referrers once they're stable. That's their choice, and it's never asked in return for support. The model compounds with community trust.

Insights

What we're learning

Building early-intervention infrastructure is uncharted territory. Here's what the data is telling us. Learn more about how TEKVA works or read about our mission.

  • →In our experience, speed is one of the most important factors in preventing crisis escalation. A fast response can prevent outcomes that delayed responses often cannot reverse.
  • →AI-augmented intake significantly reduces the time it takes to organise a case, without sacrificing quality, freeing case workers to focus on human connection.
  • →The four-pillar model lets people move between understand, stabilise, navigate, and rebuild as their situation evolves, rather than being locked into a single pathway.
  • →Dignity-first design isn't just philosophy. Our experience suggests that participants who feel respected engage more deeply and refer others.

Financial counselling at TEKVA is delivered by an FCAN-registered Financial Counsellor. Financial capability support is provided by a Financial Capability Worker, whose scope is capability support only — no credit advice or creditor negotiation. Credit advice and creditor negotiation sit with our Financial Counsellor. We also provide crisis triage, practical support, and referral coordination. We do not provide AFSL-licensed financial product advice, legal advice, or insolvency advice. Where another service is the better fit, we'll help connect you with community services, tenancy help or specialist legal support.
